I'm starting to lose track of time now. It's only day 5. We actually didn't do much today, Ryan had some time in the garden, I actually done my make up and Selina's hair. It's easy to forget what your day has consisted of when you are confined to your own home. Ryan is feeling it now, he wants beer. His words 'send beer' (and bin bags and butter...)
I need to plan better. The salt dough shapes are still sat waiting to be painted, the hello baff I've planned for her hasn't happened and baking with Selina, has still to happen. I need to get better at this.
We did spend some time on the window sill. Selina loves to spot animals and cards. Her squeals of 'Birdies' 'Doggy' and 'Car' get me everytime. The sun was shining and the birds were singing. It would have been the perfect day for the park.
Selina at the moment, has a thing for eating crayons -why I don't know but it's frustrating when you are trying to colour. I decided to stick her in a big cardboard box today with her crayons and see what she did. I was pleasantly surprised to see her start to draw. A doggy, a star and a Baba. Then mama had to draw. She is just amazing.
Tea time came and Ryan & I started our amazing tea (courtesy of Mindful Chef (https://www.mindfulchef.com/ - Gifted)
It's nice to get in the kitchen together and create something. Selina was munching on tandoori chicken and veg, whilst we whipped up Sun dried tomato Salmon, Spanish rice and Samphire. It was DELICIOUS.
What I love about these boxes, is everything comes to you measured perfectly, ingredients for each meal are kept together and it comes with the recipe book. I lay here, almost in a food coma. Mightily impressed that I managed to pull this off. (I can't give Ryan credit can I? He only chopped the veg...)
I actually can't wait for tea tomorrow.
Day 5 was actually a good day, even though nothing much was done. Roll on day 6.
