Days 7+8 - tiredness and boredom has hit.

Firstly, apologies for the lack of update yesterday, I was pretty knackered by the end of the day. So I topped myself up with Corona and hit the sack.

It was Monday yesterday (I think) and the weather has got colder. Perfect for staying in. Bloody good job as well! So it was another baking day.

I've recently acquired some goodies from Skinny Food (https://theskinnyfoodco.com/) (some gifted and some I have purchased). I wanted to get some use out of the Chocolate orange Spread, so I made the decision to make cupcakes. An easy bake and nice and handy for Selina to eat too. I whipped up the cake mix and added a dollop of spread into the middle of each one. These were the tastiest cakes I've ever made. And come recommended by Ryan too! The Chocolate orange taste just like Terry's but is so much healthier - I had no guilt eating a few cakes straight off!

That was pretty much our Monday. Not the best and not the worst.

Today, I woke up with what can only be described as feeling like I had a hot poker through the left side of my brain. Ryan sent me to bed when Selina went for a nap. It was needed. I feel bad as I wanted to get on making some coloured salt dough shapes but I just couldn't muster the energy. I bought some food colouring off Amazon and want to make some edible paint, rainbow spaghetti and coloured salt dough shapes. I will get it done one day this week.

Selina spent more time in her drawing box today. She loves it. Ryan has been enjoying it too. It's now covered in drawings of stars, doggies, bananas, oranges, cars and babas. And Selina can tell you them all.

For tea, she decided she only wanted peas. All the peas. Including the ones off our plates. One by one, they disappeared into her mouth. Whatever keeps her happy.

Tomorrow, I get to leave the house. I have an appointment with my surgeon (Which is miraculously going ahead) I guess I'll find out if I need to have further surgery to fix this broken bone. It's still uncomfortable. It grinds and crunches and is starting to give me more pain daily. I know surgery will have to wait given the situation the world finds itself in but at least it will be fixed. Nothing is ever straight forward. Ryan and Selina will be staying in the car while I go in and be seen. We still need to be following social distancing guidelines and keeping ourselves and everyone else safe.

I will update tomorrow on how this goes. Let's hope it's almost healed and I need nothing else (just further physio).

Stay safe all!

How are YOU?

I don't know what day it is anymore and to be fair, I don't really care. What I care for is the time that I am spending with my family....
