Keeping it fresh

One of the main things that I was told on a consistent basis through pregnancy, was to make time for Ryan & I. Make time for the two of us to be a couple, so as not to let the magic die.

To be honest, it was one of things that was always on my mind. We have had alot of adventures over the last 4 years, as a twosome and I was conscious that this was something I wanted to continue.

But, in reality, how easy is it to do this? Between night feeds (which thankfully have stopped), and tiredness, to uni and work, how do you actually make time for the two of you.

Since the Babalina was born on 30/10, Ryan and I, have had (I think) 2 nights out just the two of us. Both to celebrate his 40th Birthday (although they happened a couple of months apart). We have managed to steal a couple of hours together here and there while my mum has watched the baby but is this enough?

Date Night 2

Date Night 1

We are both so busy (for different reasons). Ryan is working hard at his Electrical Engineering Degree and then working part time and I am working hard at looking after the baby. Keeping her safe. But actually, we do still manage to steal some moments at home. A cuddle in the kitchen, a kiss stolen in the night.

For us, I don't think that we need to work hard at keeping the magic alive. We create our own magic in so many different ways. We created a bundle of magic in our beautiful daughter.

I'd love to know how you keep the magic alive in your relationship following the birth of your baby? Is there something special that you do? Do you have a regular babysitter that allows you to steal a few hours for a special date night? Let me know!

How are YOU?

I don't know what day it is anymore and to be fair, I don't really care. What I care for is the time that I am spending with my family....
